Operations Assistant

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Management of ship calls in internal and external systems (opening, control of arrival/departure forecasts and closing of calls) in the Ports of Sines and Leixões;
  • Preparation of orders, insertion and verification of all documentation and services related to the ship's call in the 24 hours preceding the ETA;
  • Provision of assistance to the Commander and other crew during their stay in port;
  • Management of cargo files (OBL's) for MSC planning centers for ships calling at Sines and Leixões;
  • Crew change management (hotels / SEF documentation / transport);
  • Management of unloading and loading of ship parts and preparation of customs applications;
  • Marking of supply orders (groceries, spare parts, stalls, etc.);
  • Organization of parts and TNT/DHL/UPS/Etc mail (reception, registration, physical organization, onboard delivery and shipping).
Skills
  • Graduation;
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English;
  • Mastery of O365 tools;
  • Ease of communicating and maintaining a good level of interpersonal relationships;
  • High sense of responsibility;
  • Dynamism, autonomy and personal organization;
  • Team spirit, analytical skills, initiative and proactivity.
