General Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • CMA CGM Brand promotion and development.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and execute financial forecasts in collaboration with the Cluster CFO.
  • Business Development: Monitor the market for new opportunities and develop direct relationships with key customers. Find and develop import and export leads, engage prospects and convert them to the group customers.
  • Sales Leadership: Managing and controlling Sales & Operation activities, define and monitor performance targets to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Customer centricity: Ensure a quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & KPI follow up : Gather regional market information, analyze and generate reports including Monthly commercial and all KPI reports.
  • Team Management: Oversee the local workforce, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and Group policies.
  • Internal Control & Compliance: Implement internal audit recommendations and report any suspected fraud to management and relevant authorities.
  • Government and Institutional Liaison: Represent the Group with local authorities and government bodies as required.
  • Perform all other duties as maybe assigned by management.
Skills
  • Preferably master’s degree in Transport & Logistics, Marketing, business administration or management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role, shipping – logistics sector
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in commercial management and business development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial and operational processes.
  • Accurate and analytical skills.
  • Change leader.
  • Software / IT Applications.
  • Bilingual Spanish - English (listening, writing, speaking)
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage.
