General Manager, Vessel Accounting

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10-15 accountants in the vessel accounting section and oversee the daily operations
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data while overseeing preparation of financial reports by the team
  • Ensure best accounting practices as well as internal controls within the team
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles of the Organization
  • Consolidate the monthly management reports like Fund balances, Owners Reporting, etc. and report to headquarter
  • Building long term relationship with Clients – ship owners from accounting perspective
  • Address training needs from the team and develop growth opportunities
  • Degree in Accounting & Finance with CPA qualifications
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Accounting, prior experience in Shipping Industry is preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP like Oracle, SAP, etc. is a must
  • Solid knowledge of International Accounting practices
  • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Meticulous, well-organized and conscientious with a high level of initiatives at work
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, think creatively, a strong sense of responsibility with positive working attitude
