Marine Operations, Operator

Job Responsibilities

 


  • Administrative Support: Manage and process ship documentation, including customs clearance, manifests and port receipts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordination of Port Operations: Assist in planning vessel arrivals and departures, coordinate port services (e.g. pilots, tugs) and support logistics operations.
  • Communication & Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the vessel's crew, ship owner, port authorities and third party service providers.
  • Crew Services: Support crew changes, welfare services (e.g. shore leave) and coordination of emergency response as required.
  • Data Alignment & Reporting: Ensure MSC and supplier data are fully aligned in the VCI application for accurate cost control, investigate discrepancies, support the invoicing workflow and provide on-demand analysis of business cost trends
Skills


 

  • You have at least MBO4 work and thinking level and preferably a completed shipping, transport or logistics education?
  • Do you have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written?
  • Do you have at least 1 - 2 years of relevant work experience?
  • Are you accurate and can you handle detailed information effectively for long periods of time?
  • Can you easily adapt to changing working methods, working hours, tasks, responsibilities, policy changes, environment, behavior of others and are you customer-oriented?
  • Are you proactive, can you handle work pressure and do you have a sense of responsibility?
