Supervisor - Offshore

Job Responsibilities

(The main job activities)

 

  • Planning and repairs of allocated projects Offshore, Onshore and On-board which involves critical Rigging operation.
  • Carry out site visits involving critical rigging jobs, accordingly plan Rigging strategy, fabricate A-frames and arrange suitable rigging equipment.
  • Undertake jobs in Mechanical, Pipe and Fabrication as instructed.
  • Develop, interpret and follow method statements and procedures in addition to understanding specifications, drawings and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
  • Produce work and technical reports with team as needed, able to inspect jobs and prepare work scope , MTO and procedures and monitor job(s) and able to take non steel projects effectively.
  • Co-ordinate work progress with Project Manager, Client, other trades within own department
  • Liaise with Invoicers / estimators to ensure that department commercial targets are achieved
  • Develop detailed completion program with manpower loading
  • Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

 

Skills
  • Diploma in engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience in ship repairing and New Building yard, basic rigging, pressure testing of pipes, knowledge of welding.
  • Able to read mechanical , steel , pipe drawings, literature for repairs and plan accordingly
  • Knowledge and Experience in ship repair, new building yard and shipboard items.
  • Possess knowledge of MS office and Project Management skills.
