Training Superintendent (Nautical)

Job Responsibilities

As a Training Superintendent you will be a part of growing team at BSM Maritime Centre and roles & responsibilities will include:

 

  • Efficient facilitation and running of relevant courses
  • Close coordination of activities with the Training Director / Training Manager with regards to training needs
  • Delivery of training within a quality-controlled environment, leading to improved safety and performance within the BSM fleet
  • Participation in the development of an annual Training Plan
  • Preparation for annual internal audits and external audits
  • Ship visits on board BSM vessels as and when opportunity arises

Requirements

We expect you to be highly energetic and the one who enjoys learning and delivering the new knowledge related to marine topics. You should be the one who is up to date with the recent updates in the marine sector, maritime laws, and rules.

 

Also, you should have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of sailing experience in the capacity of Master on Tanker vessels
  • At least 2 years of experience in educational role, ideally withing maritime industry will be a plus
  • A thorough knowledge of current and impending maritime legislation
  • Knowledge of maritime training and development needs
  • A comprehensive understanding of evaluation and assessment techniques
  • In-depth working knowledge and understanding of STCW as amended
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English
