Log-In Logistica buys containership for $20m

The box ship was built at the Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding shipyard. The 2,550 teu vessel will be christened “Log-In Discovery”, also has 536 reefer points.

 "The vessel was selected because it has relevant characteristics for our operations. With this, we expand our capacity to provide essential integrated logistics services with a constant focus on safety, sustainability and operational excellence," commented Log-In president-director Marcio Arany.

With the addition of the new containership, the shipping company will have seven container vessels with a capacity of 15,500 teu.

Log-In uses an extensive and integrated transportation network, which allows the Company to serve the key regions of Brazil, which account for 70% of the Brazilian GDP, and the trade flow among these regions, as well as to provide innovative and efficient solutions for the transportation of the products of Log-In‘s more than 1,500 clients, including leading Brazilian and international companies with operations in Brazil and South American countries.

Log-In connects the main ports of Brazil and Argentina — from Manaus to Buenos Aires— through the South Atlantic Ocean and Amazonas services with weekly stops.
